My Grandfather William Finlay Callander was born 2nd February 1849, maybe Falkirk, or Balfron in Scotland, but there doesn't seem to be any record of his birth. I'm seeking information re the city or village where he was born. His parents were Adam Callander (b) 11th February 1906 in Falkirk, and Elizabeth Brown (b) 8th February 1804 in Balfron. They were married 15th November 1829 at Balfron.
