Hello from the U.S. I am seeking someone from Dundee, Scotland or close by Dundee who might be kind enough to help me to locate any kind of documentation concerning my Great, great grandfather George William White Smith who departed Dundee for the United States, circa 1840. All that I know of him is that he may have been either a blacksmith or a metal craftsman of some kind. I know it is probably a long shot, but it would be nice to receive a helping hand from my distant kinsman somewhere there in or around the Dundee area. I do not know my great great grandmother's name, but there is a strong possibility that their childrens names were James, George (my great grandfather), Geneva or Woodrow. Please email me if you can help or would be willing to. I would appreciate it greatly. Many thanks.
