Thanks! I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina and a lot of Scots and Irish settled in this area. My grandmother is a Murray, grandfather a Clark, other grandmother a Thomason and great grandmother a Ramsey. A lot also married into the Cherokee when they arrived. From what I understand, they were sent by the English to defeat the Cherokee, instead they married more, including the Murray's in my family.
