Sorry to have not replied sooner but I had hundreds of E-Mails to go through but here goes.
We have searched the IGI and found these 2 christenings at Neilston, Robert Morrison 7th December 1824 and Adam Morrison 17th March 1829 their parents were James Morrison and Mary Burns. These were the only ones we found at Neilston.
Your search will have to be in the records at New Register House, Edinburgh. They hold the B.M.D. for all of Scotland since Civil Registration began in 1855. New Register House is on the web at <http://www.origins.net/> there are pages and pages of information on how to proceed with your search
we hope you have some success with your search, and, if I may ask where are you located.
Happy Hunting
Marhar

thankyou for replying marhar. i am from australia my family migrated here in 1969. i have 7 brothers and sisters and we were wondering where our family all originated from. the names you gave me don't ring a bell yet but hopefully something will come up. maybe my grandfather william wasn,t born in neilston? my dad said that william had a twin i'm not sure if that helps. a boy don't know the name, and he remembers going to visit an aunt anne but he's not sure if she was married to the twin or whether she was a sister of both. i really am at a loss as to where our roots came from they must belong somewhere, i will go to the site you recomended and try there. i know your a very busy person and i thank you for looking for me.if anything else pops up can you please let me know? much appreciated jean mcdowell
p.s. i was born in neilston 17 10 1959. in the house where my dad grew up that's why i assumed maybe there. thanks
