My grandfather John August Marcon was a Mariner from France. Born in Bordeaux in France (app. 1849). He Arrived in Australia appr. 1870. His father was Jacob Marcon. his mother Marguerite. I have no other info on his background. Would really appreciate any info on his family in France as I'm doing my family tree.
