Harvey - clan Keith?

i was adopted in 1968. I found my bio Mom 30 years ago. She passed in 2008.i recently had a DNA test done. I did some research on our family name "Harvey". How does one become a member of a clan? Would like to share some pride to my children.

You don't become a clan member... You are born into a family, tha family may or may not be a clan! Not all Scottish names were ever pat of any clan.

Do not confuse a Scots Clan with a clan Association, of which there appear to be countless numbers, many of spurious origins

Absolutely correct - you don't join. If you believe yourself to be a member of that clan, you are a member of the clan. There is no formal authority judging eligibility for membership.
