Maclean/MacDonald
I have traced my MacLean ancestors to the 9th century. I have a Margaret MacDonald in 1480, but she married Hector O MacLean. It seems from my research that the MacDonalds and MacLeans married into each other's clans quite a bit. Margaret MacDonald was a common name as well. I searched on Ancestry.com and found lots of Finlay MacLean (McLean). They have a free trial so you can search. Also, when I need to find someone, I try Google searching the name. Hopefully it will show up in someone's tree. Good luck.
