Newbe here,Hi to all, searching lost McLeod
Hi to All. We are seeking additional information in our quest to unravel the hazy past of our McLeod ancestor.
We have two bits of confirmed information, as follows:-
1. Feb. 06,1900 - Halifax N.S. -Marriage to (Edward George Hodgson b. Wales 1876) where she reported to have been aged 28; b. in Scotland; (cir.1871/73?)
That she was a widow (previously married- Possibly Canada or other?)
Father - Archibald (stockbroker)
Mother - Margaret Ann ....
Marriage Register lists her complete maiden name as -
‘Sarah, McVain?, McNab, McLellen, McLeod .' Methodist
2. Mar. 31/Apr1, 1901 - Census - Bootle-cum-Linacre - Lancaster UK (Liverpool)
reported to be age 30 - Married - b. in Scotland
Ed. Geo. Hodgon (second husband) died Feb. 17,1905 in Bootle
At this time, widowed Sarah had 2 children - 2 mos. and 5 years of age
Our unknowns 1871 -1900 also 1905 - ?
WE have documentation supporting the above facts .
We welcome any suggestions or relative input . Thank you.
