Smile Any Calhouns out there?

I would like to know what city or town the Calhouns originated from. I think it was an island but not sure, just going by what I have heard. Would love to have any and all replies.

Calhouns = Colquhoun

Like many surnames spellings change with the environment hence Colquhoun ( prounounced Ca- hoon ) changed tp the North American
Clan based in Luss on west bank of Loch Lomond . Check out on
Clan Colquhoun - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
