Wanting info on Murchison's

I'm currently working on our family tree and have reached a deadend on my father's side from Scotland. My GGGGGrandfather was Alexander Murchison Born abt 1804 in Kintail, Ross-Shire, Scotland. He was married to Ann MacKenzie and they immigrated to America in abt 1848. They had four children, Alexander Jr., Jane, Donald, and Margaret. I'm looking for anyone who might have information as to the elder Murchison's parents might be. I can't find anything on-line that is for sure. Looking for anyone who may have info.
