Citzenship Question
Hello,
My grandfather on my fathers side was born in Scotland. My parents were both born in Australia, as was I. I reside in Australia. My father has a British passport. Am I able to apply for a passport or citizenship? I know there are several topics on this already, but unfortunately I have been unable to find what I am looking for. Thank you for your assistance!! Regards, James |

See UK Border Agency | What is British citizenship? and, if you can't find out from there, contact your local British Embassy or Consul.

"Should" is indeed conditional - but it's a lot more definitive than words such as "possibly" or "may be" which I think would have been more appropriate to use, especially when your "evidence" is so anecdotal.
