Thanks. I have actually been in contact with the Inverness Reference Library who have aquired some documents I want to see. It is basically a Munro family genealogy written in about 1716, and it is possible that it contains my ancestors, although I have already read computerised versions of the information in this document.

There are also some things I found listed in the National Archives of Scotland but they are not held in the usual place in Edinburgh but in the Highland Council Archives in Inverness. They are actually Kirk of Session records which could have some useful information.

There is just one document I want to see in the NAS held in Edinburgh. I'll make another visit to Edinburgh for this. Could do with a look around the old castle again. Edinburgh is a great place for eating out, and getting Scottish clan memorabillia.
