Episcopalians/Catholics obviously escaped censure, but as the Kirk also looked after the Poor etc', there being no Social Security, there was more than Spiritual Welfare and Sabbath Breaking,came under the eye of the Session. I came across a £10 fine imposed on a weaver, the Session returned this as the weaver was in reduced circumstances.
