News from North-East Scotland in 1810

From the Aberdeen Journal, Wednesday 5th December, 1810:

That whereas GEORGE LEGG, Baker and Confectioner, Cuminestown, on the 22d November last, granted a trust disposition of his whole effects in favours of Alexander Leith, Merchant, Garmond; James Taylor, Merchant, Cuminestown; and James Cheyne, Auctioneer, there, for behoof of his whole creditors: it is hereby intimated, that a meeting of his whole creditors is to be held in the house of James Cheyne, Cuminestown, on Monday the 24th December curt. at which time and place, it is requested all those having claims on the Bankrupt will bring or send them forward, with oaths of verity thereon; and all those indebted to the said George Legg, will instantly order payments of the same unto any of the said trustees, to avoid prosecutions.
