Munro families in Parish of Contin

Looking for any information on any ancient Munro families who lived in the Parish of Contin in the county of Ross and Cromarty, from at least the 18th century and earlier.

Thanks.

Any records anywhere

Does anyone know of any records at all, of any type, for the Parish of Contin for before 1750 ?

Estate papers

Estate Papers would be amazing. But I can't seem to find them in the National Archives For Scotland, at least not for the era I am interested in (pre 1750)

DG, The Forfeited Estates Papers for Mackenzie of Cromartie, Scatwell & Coul, are I think at NAS. Mackenzie of Fairburn was Urray but might be worth a look. Seaforth escaped forfeiture so Seaforth Papers. wullie.

Thanks

Thanks,

My ancestor actually married in 1749 in the parish of Urquhart and Logie Wester (Ross-shire). But the marraige certificate says that he was from Contin Parish.

Interestingly they didn't have their first child until 1763! My guess is that he was born in the 1720's, judging from his marraige being in 1749.
