Lawrence Search- Aberdeen, Woodside area

Looking for information on Thomas J Lawrence b 3 jan 1859 married June Moir Duguid 25 July 1887 both events in Old Machar. Emigrated to US.
Would like to find connection for the J middle name- sometimes found as Jeffris, Jeffries or Jaffray.
Other Links:
Thomas father- George Lawrence married Martha Ann Wink 16 Jun 1846 in Old Machar? Martha born 5 Oct 1821 St Nicholas
Any information would be appreciated. Would like to connect with family tree members still in Scotland as well.
Thanks
Donald J Lawrence

Sorry, I'm from Edinburgh, not Aberdeen!

Just wanted to ask whether you had tried the GRO? All births/deaths/marriages are registrered there - as well as old parish records. The service is not free, but as long as you marshall your search questions, the charges aren't too bad.

The thing is: so few of us on here are actually Scottish - and those that are probably don't live in the areas where your interests lie - and even if they did, the chances that they would know your ancestry are slim to nothing!

Good luck with your research, though
