There's lots of stuff on the net. This link has quite a lot of stuff, but always check info with at least 2 other sites, as the entries at ElectricScotland are submitted and then published as is, ie without verification.

I am currently reading the connections of Farnuharsons and McComie. And I have found that John McComie of Forter married Elspet Campbell (grand-daughter of Donald Campbell, who was the grandson Archibald Campbell, Earl of Argyle)

I do know my ancesters migrated to America before 1732.
