Marquis of Lorne Cup

We have in our family a pocket watch inscribed "MARQUIS OF LORNE CUP" won by Pt. John Louttit, K. company, 105th L.R.V., 1875.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any information on this. Thanks so much.
Mary

I just did a google for Marquis of Lorne Cup and the first two hits showed

The Marquis of Lorne Cup appears to be a trophy for a football team in Stevenage, hertfordshire.

Or there is something called the Lorne Cup which was awarded in Canada.
