Was bored really. Generally intrigued by what latent talent there is in Scotland. It seems like there is a lot to be discovered there.

Well, I really don't think that I am related to Alastair Campbell. Of course no-one ever quite knows what terrible family skeletons might be in the hidden dark and scary cupboard. But I am pretty sure I am not related, sorry about that, old bean.

All the same, hadn't you better ask the good people of Yorkshire about this? In and around Keighley might be a good place to start.

How you could rationally take offence at that is beyond me. Paranoia.

Now which Alastair Campbell can you mean

Is it.................

Alastair Campbell born in Keighley, Yorkshire, in 1957.

A graduate of Cambridge University, his first career was in journalism.

He was asked by Tony Blair to be his press secretary when Blair became leader of the Labour Party.

Or could it be..................

Alastair Campbell, Lord Bracadale

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hon Lord Bracadale QC (born Alastair P. Campbell, c. 1950s)[1] is a Senator of the College of Justice.[2]

Alastair Campbell was born in Skye as the son of a minister.
His family moved to Edinburgh when he was just 2 years old and he was brought up in the capital.

He was educated at the University of Aberdeen.
He initially became a teacher and taught English at Vale of Leven Academy in Dumbartonshire for a
number of years before returning to university to study law at the University of Strathclyde.

He qualified as a solicitor and entered the Procurator Fiscal service as a prosecutor.
He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1985 and served as an Advocate Depute from 1990 until 1993.
In 1995 he took silk and became Standing Junior Counsel to HM Customs and Excise.

In 1997 he was appointed Home Advocate Depute (Scotland's senior prosecutor) and remained in this post until 2001.

Campbell was senior prosecution counsel in the Lockerbie trial which resulted in Libyan intelligence officer
Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi being found guilty of the 270 murders and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2001.
The conviction was upheld on appeal and the successful prosecution brought Campbell international prominence.

In 2003 he was appointed a Judge of the Court of Session and High Court of Justiciary.
