Ancestry.com has everything
I join Ancestry.com for a month once a year. They add all kinds of new stuff each year, so I always find something new that is worth while.

I;m not sure.
Ancestry.com is actually quite good. conlin Families Living in England and Wales in 1891 - Ancestry.com ^^^ This page is fun, search on your surname in the box at the top-right of the page to see where it is most common, you can somehow change it from England to Scotland to USA etc, have a fiddle, it's quite accurate aswell cos the four immediate names in my bloodline are all in the highest numbers around the north-east. |

While ancestry.com might be quite good it certainly doesn't have everything... and it doesn't claim to either! As for the intention of the original poster, I agree with Polwarth that it was to promote some dubious site and not the site mentioned in the topic title! Seriously kelt76, would it have been too much to expect you to actually link to the site you were attempting to discuss? Or would that have lost you some potential sales?

Whilst I prefer ancestry's user input, I've found that Genes Reunited give a lot more success when it comes to making contact with other connected family history researchers. I suspect this is because it's one hell of a lot cheaper! Costs around a tenner a year to be able to contact other people, as opposed to the silly amount of money that it costs to become a member of ancestry. It's also a lot more UK-biased than ancestry.co.uk.
The most irritating thing about Genes Reunited is their credits system - you buy credits to enable you to access historical records, but the credits expire if you don't use them, which I think is disgusting. For updating my tree, I use ancestry.co.uk to make the changes, download the file and upload it into Genes Reunited. I use Family Tree Maker (which is produced by ancestry.com) at home (which comes with 3-months' free ancestry membership and an integral PDF writer) to produce various reports from the same file.
