I found the graveyards visits helpful. Remember, some OPRs have been damaged or incorrectly transcribed.

The Mormon Church has a database - but it should all be taken with a pinch of salt, cos they 'accept' info as posted by families. But, that might be worth a try.

Thanks polwarth, I did manage to get a list of all the lockharts in the area but its really difficult trying to match them up, I listened to a lot of tales when I was young about the lockharts. Every one and their granny was a lockhart of lee, I soon put that one right, I found a few wills which gave great imformation, but one of them I can't read, its in old scots. Its from the 1600s I can pick out the names and some of the places in nemphlar but it looks as if its written backwards.
