MacLeods at Auchenbowie

Does anyone have any information regarding MacLeods living at Auchenbowie, St Ninians (Stirling)? We've managed to trace our family back to a John McLeod (born 1753, lived Auchenbowie). His birth cert. names his parents as 'Niel' Macleod (orig. spelling) and Agnes McDonald, but we have no idea where either of them came from. Older family members recall previous generations talking of the Isle of Raasay, but as yet we have no actual evidence this is where they originated. Any help much appreciated.
