Caristons of Seton,Fife

Does any Fifer know anything about the Setons of Cariston? It is a cadet branch of the Seton family many of whom decided to live in Ireland a couple of centuries ago.
I would also welcome any information on the location of Cariston in Fife. I can find nothing on any map I've looked at! Slainte. Linda

Sorry, Linda - I'm not from Fife and although I know the Kingdom quite well, I'm not sure where Cariston might be. It's interesting that the name is claimed to be connected to the Skenes by some websites.

Some things that may be of interest to you.

http://www.electricscotland.com/webc...ies/setons.htm
mentions Cariston (sic).

The perhaps alternative spellings of Caraldston and Careston, if searched, will provide you with information about where it is.
