I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm looking for my great-great grandfather, and I'm beginning to think he doesn't exist. His name is DAVID MITCHELL. The only thing I know about him is he supposedly came from Argyle, Scotland. When, I don't know. He eventually settled in Rochester, New York. He married an ANORA NEUNAN (again, date unknown) and they had at least one child. MORTIMER DAVID MITCHELL, born in the 1860's in Rochester, New York.
I know this is such a long shot, but is there anyone who has a DAVID MITCHELL in their family who emigrated the United States somewhere between, I would venture to guess, 1840-1860 or 1861? Or emigrated to Canada around the same time and made their way to New York? Or, perhaps someone knows a family who has a David Mitchell? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, I apologize for such little information. |

David mitchell
David Mitchell is my 2nd great grandfather. He lived in Rochester, NY USA and was married to Anora Neunan. They had at least one child, David Mortimer Mitchell, whose birth certificate has both his parents being born in Rochester, NY (but that is the only evidence of that). Family lore has our roots starting in Scotland, but I have not found that connection yet.
You haven't been here in a long time...I hope you get this... |
