Does anyone know anything about Willie Martin who played for Clyde as a centre forward in the 1930's and was a member of the Clyde team that won the Scottish cup in 1939.

They beat Motherwell 4-0 in the final and Martin scored two of the Clydes Goals. In the same year he was "Capped" by the Scottish League and played against the English and Irish teams. In that year on the way to the final Clyde beat the mighty Glasgow Rangers 4-1 at Ibox. Martin scored all four goals. As it was the only time clyde won the Scottish Cup he is still fondly remembered by Clyde supporters. This information sent to me from a person in Glasgow.

Willie Martin was the Grandson or Great grandson of William Irving, His mother was Janet Irving. I cannot find anything out about this family. If this sounds familiar to anyone I would love to hear from them.
