I am in the process of establishing a directory of men and women who emigrated from the Isle of Bute, Scotland in the 19th and 20th centuries to all parts of the world.
When completed it will hopefully give an insight to their life and times in their adopted country and also show their links back to the Isle of Bute.
This is a total non money making project, with no money asked from any participant and no money paid to the compiler.
I would be pleased to hear from any member of Scotland.com who has ancestors from the Isle of Bute Scotland. A new e-mail address has been set up for this purpose and is shown

<brandanesofbute.yahoo.co.uk>

many thanks, Brandane
