Searching for Jacob or Joseph or James FRAZIER/FRAZER/FRASER (various spellings) born c1812 in Scotland (where unknown) who married Christine _____? either in Scotland or Nova Scotia, Canada.
This couple are my 4th grt. grandparents and no one has been able to find out anything about them, even down to their real first names.
My 3rd grt. grandmother and their daughter Louisa Jane FRAZIER (spelled her last name this way), was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 1, 1840.
She had several siblings, but several of whom drowned, dying at sea. To my knowledge, the only ones who survived to adulthood were she, a brother William and brother Henry Frazier.
At some point, Jacob/Josepeh/James FRAZIER and his family left Canada and came to Maine, around the Winthrop and Bath area of Maine.
We (cousins and myself) cannot find anything about our 4th great grandparents and we are hopeful that perhaps someone in Scotland has done research that might help us out.
