Carruthers, Irving

Hi My Great Great Grandmother was Janet Carruthers Daughter of James Carruthers of Breckonhill and Janet Schoolar of Lockerbie.

She married Robert Irving around 1824. They had the following children

Jane/Jean 1826, I think she married a Robert Jardine but I can find out little about them

Janet 1828, have lots of her history, She married Robert Carlyle Barton

George 1830 Married Thomasina Rae, whose grandmother was Elizabeth Scott of Carrutherstown, George was my great grandfather and I do have a lot of his information, HOwever very little of his wife

Robert married in Canada, most of information is available

Margaret who i think married James Bell, no information

Mary who never married and is buried with her parents
Anne the same as Mary

William who married Elizabeth and who was the great grandfather of Willie Martin of footballer fame thats all I know

There evidently were two more daughters listed in the 1851 census, Sara and Chrisian, I have no information on them
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have hit a wall concerning these people.
