My great-great-great grandmother was an Elizabeth MacDonald (McDonnell) and it is stated she "belonged to the proud warlike MacDonald branch ,the McDonnells of keppoch, being the second daughter of Angus, a great-grandson of Donald Gruamach McDonald, third son of John 1V of Bohuntin. I am desperately trying to fit in the missing pieces between the beforementioned Angus and Donald gruamach McDonald. Can anyone help n anyway. Her son was Ranald Rankin the first Gaelic speaking priest to come to Australia and my mother and her grandmother were named after him.
