Hello, Scots. Can anyone tell me if the names of Aaron, or Blackburn or Tatum are common or heard of in the beautiful land of Scotland.

Did a search for your three Surnames in the 1881 Census. TATUM, none to be found in Scotland, many in England, the South Eastern part.
BLACKBURN, there were just 15 in the Highland Region of Scotland and 254 in the Lowlands. There were 11,000 plus in England, some were born in Ireland but the vast majority were English.
