Not much turns up on Boenerges, and I've never heard of it as a Scottish name (nor any other kind).
However - BoAnerges turns up in a Biblical context as a name (orginally meaning "Sons of Thunder") and is a collective name for the sons of Zebedee - James, John and? Andrew? in the Bible. Boanerges seems also to appear as a Spanish surname. Hope it's of some help |
