I've been trying to research my branch of the family tree and haven't been able to get very far. I'm a Merrilees on my Dad's side who comes from Coupar Angus. I'm just interested to see where my branch of the family originates from; who I'm related to and how.

As far as I can tell my family's been about this area for generations but I'd like to find out more. My Dad's coming up for a significant birthday (I won't say how old he's going to be, I'd only offend him ) and I'd loe to be able to give him a concise family tree.

Any help or advice would really make my day!
