I am doing a family tree on the fisher's from scotland,my great grandfather is wm.fisher and he was the first to move to elora,ontario,canada.He moved in and around 1870 any information would be great help for i'm up against a wall.

As you will see, Fisher is a fairly common name all over the British Isles, not just Scotland.

If you know where your William Fisher lived in Scotland, it may be possible for someone to help you with further information. Dates and places are the best way forward!
