Question

My gggps' (John Dunlop and Mary Ann Nisbet) marriage on 22 May 1834 was recorded at St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh, but actually took place in the United Associate Secession Congregation in Nicolson Street, with the Reverend George Johnston presiding.
Can anyone help with records of christenings or marriages at that chuch?
Specifically looking for children of John Dunlop and Mary Ann Nisbet (the gggps) born in Edinburgh from 1834 to about 1850.
I have unverified hints that their children were Charles, 1837; David Nisbet, 1838; John, 1845; and James, 1847.
Thanks in advance,
John D.

The Church you mention is part of the 'Wee Frees'... As well as St Columba's in Edinburgh, they also have another one at Causewayside.

The Minister/address/contact details for both churches are on this page..

Perhaps being such small churches (ie congregations - one only had 25 members when it started, according to this site!) the records will be plentiful?

Hope this helps.
