I am looking for information on Hugh McKenzie and his wife Martha (McNair). I believe they were both born and married in Scotland, and then imigrated to Maine in the early 1860's. They migrated to New Brunswick in 1873, and then finally to Newfoundland.

They had four children, Ernest, Edwin, Robert, and Annie.

Hugh died at the age of 69 in 1901 in Glenburnie, Newfoundland. Martha died at the age of 64.

I would like to know more about where they were born and raised in Scotland, and why they choose Maine as their initial landing point in North America. If you have any information, please let me know.

Thanks,
Mark McKenzie

Hugh McKenzie and Martha McNair

Hi, I am the Great Great Granddaughter. I grew up in Newfoundland and I am now living in New Brunswick, Canada. I was online researching my background. I do have many details. Feel free to contact me at marciajohannesen@aim.com
