Hello Fairytale
A little bit more information would be nice...!

For example, dates, a town/country of origin. You see, although this is site is called Scotland.com - the majority of posters here are not from Scotland

If you could give a little more info, I'm sure someone would be able to help you.

yep what Polwarth said

Ideally dates of interest and location to the parish level is required but at least the county is needed to give some idea where to start looking.

After all even I have a Brown in my family tree (just one mind) and egad if you were asking about Mackay's that is a nightmare as Mackay's married Mackays in Sutherland for instance.

thomas clark brown was born either in rutherglen or glasgo. mother's maiden name was jean or nellie black. he had several siblings. dick,nellie,john,jean,???? he worked at a shipyard as a pattern maker. i'm trying to get more info. help........!

a time scale would be nice!

Presumably sometime in the 1900s - but without a date, it would be difficult to trace anyone.
