Bryce Family Tree

So far, I have my GGG Grandfather, Robert Bryce as being born in Airdrie on 4th January 1810, but I cannot find his parents names or any siblings.
Robert Bryce married Agnes Gilfillan Jenkins at St Ninians on 8th June 1828 and they had 7 children:
John Bryce b1831 St Ninians d1881 Barrow in Furness
Robert Bryce b1834 St Ninians d1913 New Milngavie
James Bryce b1835 St Ninians d1908 Pembroke
William Bryce b1841 St Ninians d abt 1885
Jane Bryce b1842 St Ninians d abt 1890 Pennsylvania
Margaret Bryce b1846 St Ninians d1887 Paisley
David Bryce b1849 Govan (possibly Robertson's Land) d1830 Milngavie
Robert Bryce b1810, died at Southwick, Sunderland on 18th January 1876 and most of his male line were employed in the shipbuilding industry as Rivetters/Rivet Heaters. The exception was David, who was a Cotton Yarn Dyer but retired as a Gardener at Milngavie.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
My updated tree

Jim Bryce

I'm a Bryce, but not sure of my lineage. Can anybody point me in the direction I need to go to trace it? Family isn't too forthcoming with information. Thanks.

You start with your generation. Verify facts. Then your father's gen, again verify. All the way back to the first immigrant to your country. With luck, you may be able to fet confirmation of that ancestor via immigration or passenger records. From those you may be able to trace back (sometimes via Ireland) to a specific family and area of Scotland.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I know a little about my grandparents and why my family left Scotland in the first place, so not a lot to go by. I think an aunt has a lot of the information I need. It's going to be a long process, but I'm up for a challenge.
