Hello, My name is Danny McLeod. I'm also looking for information on my family line. I don't know if we're from the same line though, becuse MY grandfater changed our name to Mc from Mac and I think I'm from the isle of Lewis, but if you go back to a certin point I believe both our clans are decended from a common name, I believe he was a king of some northern part of Europe, somewhere far north I think. There is a book you might want to check out. HIGHLANDERS - A History of the Gaels by John MacLeod - it has a lot of history about the MacLeod Clan in it, as well as Highland history in general.
