William Sim Smith

William Sim Smith's father, William (Hunter) Smith (1863-1924), was the brother of my grandfather James Hunter Smith (1875-1945). I also am interested in making contact with Garmann or larmie, and exchanging information with them.

I forgot to mention that just last week I stayed for two nights in Renfrew at the Ferry Inn, quite near where William Hunter Smith worked in a shipyard. I took the ferry across the River Clyde on Thursday to Yoker, and without realising it, must have passed by their home (ca. 1900) on the road up from the ferry, on the way to Dunbarton Road.
