Any tricks to exchange here?

Okay, here are mine:

A warm bath with lavender, verbaine and thyme makes children feel warm and sleepy.

Inbed-roleplays.

Make the child bring her favourite dolls/teddies to bed and let the child tell her favourite toys why they have to sleep now.

Story-reading and song-singing is the usual stuff BUT

I have the help of two good CDs my daughter loves, with very slow Celtic tunes sung by a woman. I let the same song run over and over and over again and it is sure to make her sleep.

Those Celtic tunes are the best! I (now)work in a church nursery and, and for a break for the children, I play music (CD's)for the children; we have one with Celtic
lullabyes, and it's just SO nice...and calming. It calms the children down.

True, right you are. It's soothing - and gives us time to relax.

Same for me.
And I am afraid my daughter will be just the same, but so far I always managed to "tame" her.

She's three and a half now. You never get her to sleep at noon as other children do.

I myself get up very early and I love to work at night when all the folks are sound asleep.
