6oz.(150G.) Raisins
6oz.(150g.) Brown Sugar
10oz.(250g.) Self Raising Flour
1/2pt. Cold Water
1 Tblsp. Golden Syrup
1 Tblsp. Butter
2 Tsps. Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Chopped Walnuts
1 Dessertspoon Mixed Spice

Oven Temp. 350 F/ 177 C/ Gas Mark 4

Boil Raisins,sugar,water,butter and golden syrup together in a pan.

Allow to cool then put into large bowl and add the flour, mixed spice,
baking soda and walnuts and mix well.

Put into a greased and lined 8" tin and bake for approximately one hour.

Allow to cool in tin then put on wire rack.
