Old recipe for you.

8oz.(200g.) Butter
8oz.(200g.) Caster Sugar
6 Eggs(well beaten)
8oz.(200g.) Self-raising Flour
6oz.(150g.) Currants
1 Level Tsp. Nutmeg
2 Tblsp. Brandy

Oven temp 400 F/204 C/Gas mark 6

Cream together the sugar and the butter until pale.
Add the eggs
gradually and then add the rest of the ingredients and beat well for
20 mins(mixer10 mins)

Then put into small patty/bun tins and bake until golden.
