Question

during this past year i have been working as a private chef and as a private caterer. Today i accepted a new job as chef de`cuisine for a small railroad in western north carolina. i am searching for menu ideas from other rail travelers from scotland. in the late seventies i went toschool in london and often traveled on THE ROYAL SCOTSMAN and other trains in europe. i believe this is where i got hooked on train travel.

that sounds like fun, there was a show on the travel channel about dining on railrod cars and how it is becoming big to have fine dining on trains. sounds good to me, great fod and scenery!

thats awesome
fly fishing is lots of fun
try finding a good spot under a tree that has lots of inch worms falling off
the fish will think your fly is an inch worm an they bite lots! you have to be careful not to get hung up in the tree though.

Sorry I cant help with this, Chef... my experience of railway dining begins and ends with plastic-packed British Rail sandwiches and cans of warm Stella.
