This is Elmsella - the man - speaking.

nothing wrong with travel and food in one section, saves on effort in typing errors an that. It's alright for you in englandshire where the seasons are different, we have only the wet season and the cold season, so food is no' the same.

OK so I drive a Toyota, at least they are made in the UK (derby & deeside). Never been the same since they shut down the Hillman Factory in Linwood.

margie,

Schools in Scotland and England are different, as are the Universities. Babz will explain about the schools as I have no weans that I know of, and it's a long time since I was at school.

Discipline - not since they banned the belt (tawse)

Foreign languages used to be taught when kids were about 13/14 up to O-grades or higher level. I managed German & French, but knowing a second language is not common here - in fact its embarrassing to hear Mr South Of England (Brit) shouting at "johnny foreigner" in his own country, in slow english so that he can be understood when asking for his "full english breakfast" or pint of bitter.

spanikopita: sounds very interesting and vegetarian too. I could go for that. Babz, about time you made a batch of it and send it up to me, eh?
