Ha Ha I have beaten Marhar to answer tihs question

The spoon is called a spurtle and its not really a spoon at all.
It is like the handle of a wooden spoon and tapers like a candle.

I also live in England and have not been able to but any here, but thats okay
as I know a man who makes them.

Before the Ukies come and get me, may I point out that my tongue is firmly in my cheek!
