There are some old familiar names in the early part of this thread!! I boil new potatoes, then drain/dry them. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, fry a chopped onion and a couple of garlic cloves in the oil. Slice or cut the tatties into chunks, and place cut side down in the hot oil... i do it like this so that they get nice and brown and crispy on the cut side. Leave them like that for awhile... maybe 5 minutes, to make sure they are brown and crispy, then stir the whole lot together, adding sliced black olives, a sprinkle of chilli flakes, salt & pepper. I sometimes make this for breakfast, frying bacon with the onions before adding the potatoes, etc.
