Meadowcat, do you seriously call bananas "Bannas"??

Celyn, i made "Baileys" once too... it was killer. I used a bottle of Irish whiskey, condensed milk (if thats the sweet one.. i get it confused with evaporated!), and vanilla essence.

Irish Mist is more like Drambuie than Baileys... its not creamy. Think Drambuie made with Irish whiskey instead of Scotch whisky. I have never seen it in UK, but bought some once in the duty free in new York on my way to Limerick.

Wel, I did not use condensed milk - I used cream, and I am only posting this to say that if anyone is doing it, do not use double cream - it was far too thick really. Single (light) cream would do, I think.

Unhappy Drambuie!!! Never Irish

T-brox tut tut.

Drambuie is as Scottish as they come, thought you would have known that.
It is the nectar credited to Bonnie Prince Charlie and made in the West of Scotland.
You can buy it easy enough in supermarkets.

There is also a web site for Drambuie, will find it for you later.

Better read my post again!
I never said it was Irish, only that if you are going to compare Irish Mist to something, it would be more similar to Drambuie than to Baileys...

maybe i should have said "think of" instead of "think"...

Believe me Babz, I know more about Drambuie than is good for any person to know!

Unhappy

Sorry about that T-brox I read it as being Drambuie is made of Irish whisky.
Isn't it funny how we all put different interpretations on our words.

I need another bottle of it, drunk the one I got for christmas (it was a minature)
