try these they are yummy
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup scotch whisky
8 oranges.
combine sugar and water in pan, stir over heat until sugar dissolves.Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for two min.remove from heat, add whisky, cool.Remove rind from oranges, remove all white pith.Cut oranges into segments, cutting between membranes,do this over bowl to catch juice.Put into bowl cover with cooled syrup and put in fridge over night to let the oranges take in the flavour of the Whisky.
Atholl brose cream.
11/2 cups cream
3 tablespoons of honey
3 tablespoons scotch whisky
whip cream softly.put honey and whisky into bowl, stir until well combined.Gradually add whisky mixture to cream beat until thick.refrigerate until serving time.
Put oranges into individual dishes top with cream.
I am not a great lover of John Barleycorn but in this dish it's wonderful.
