Post Hazelnut Cookies

I have just tried this one and think it is good!

15g - 1/2oz. Hazelnuts(shelled)
90g - 3oz. Plain Flour
60g - 2oz. Butter
30g - 1oz. Icing Sugar

Oven Temp. 200 C/400 F/Gas Mark 6

Toast the hazelnuts in the oven for about 9 minutes and then remove from the oven
and them turn the oven temp. to 180 C/350 F/Gas 4. Allow the nuts to cool
and then chop finely.(Cheats can used already prepared ones)

Put flour, butter and icing sugar into bowl and mix well then add the nuts.
Knead this mixture together until it forms a small ball of dough. If slightly crumbly
add a tiny amount of water and knead well.

Shape the dough into crescent moon shapes and place about 1 inch apart on a baking tray.

Bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Put on wire cooling tray until
cold, then store in an airtight container.

I also put chopped cherries on the top of mine .

Shortbread is the best! Snickerdoodles and peanutbutter run neck and neck in 2nd place. If it's a cookie, it's good!
