SCHOOL PROJECT

A lady on the Pillsbury bulletin board in the United States received an email from a teacher with a request. Her class is doing a social studies project through the Internet to track the number of responses they receive and where they are from. If you'd like to participate, just email them at

and tell them your city, country/location. Also they request that you forward this on to spread the word. They do not mind repeats - but have received so many from the States that now they only want from other countries and are hoping to get as many as they can from overseas. So far they have received over 28,000 responses, from 111 countries out of 191. Their project ends March 1, 2001. This is not a pen-pal project, so you may not receive a reply. OK - I just did. Um, I hope these children aren't doing a project in spam as well? Anyway, I suppose it's a modern variant of the "message in a bottle" or balloon race, really.

Thanks for your suggestion Celyn - I posted the request on the other discussion board and hope the children get some responses. By the way if Celyn is your name it is very pretty. I have never heard it before.
